Happy New Year from the NSSHLA board for 2012!
We hope this year brings nothing but happiness and opportunities to showcase how wonderful you all are! On that note, we have the first opportunity available for you :)
It's a well known fact that autism has become increasingly prevalent in America. The numbers show that 1 in every 110 children in America is identified with a diagnosis on the autism spectrum ( US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). With a variety of characteristics that include difficulties in social interaction, communication impairments and atypical behaviors that unintentionally exclude children from their peers, we need to do our part to help those exceptional individuals with autism.
So let's show our support for the services that assist children/adults with autism, the families that work hard to give the best quality of life possible, and most importantly, for the children who have autism themselves.
Join the NSSLHA team and take part in the Walk for Autism on Saturday, April 21, 2012. This awesome event will be taking place at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
